A New Way To Grow Wildflowers.
Pale Evening Primrose is a beautiful native wildflower with fragrant white blooms that open in the evening, attracting moths and other nighttime pollinators while adding elegance to western landscapes. Germination can be slow and inconsistent under natural conditions. Each seed is treated with GermiSync™ to help trigger germination and formed into a visible seed pellet for easier planting and more reliable establishment.
Covers 30 sq. ft.
Pale Evening Primrose (Oenothera pallida) is a native perennial of the western United States, naturally growing across desert foothills, open shrublands, rocky slopes, and sandy soils where it thrives in hot, dry conditions. It is well adapted to challenging landscapes and is an excellent choice for water-wise native gardens.
Native states: AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, NV, NM, OR, UT, WA, WY
Best suited for: Full sun, well-drained sandy or rocky soil, dry to low moisture. Extremely drought tolerant once established. Spreads gradually over time to form natural colonies, making it ideal for naturalized landscapes and pollinator gardens.
RAKE
Clear away weeds and debris, then loosen the top inch of soil. Good prep helps the seeds make proper contact with the soil.
SHAKE
Shake pellets evenly across your area (~1 inch apart). Each pellet contains one seed, so spacing stays consistent and planting stays controlled.
PAT
Rake or pat seeds snug into the soil. This keeps them in place and ensures strong seed-to-soil contact.
WATER
Water once or twice daily. The soil should look dark, like a damp sponge for the first 2-3 weeks to to kickstart germination.
