Blanketflower is a long blooming native wildflower that produces brilliant red and yellow blooms while feeding bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Its naturally fluffy seeds can be difficult to see, handle, and spread evenly. Each seed is GermiSync™ coated and formed into a visible pellet for easier planting, better spacing, and less waste.

Where It Grows
Blanketflower (Gaillardia aristata) is native to the Rocky Mountains and northern Great Plains, where it thrives in open prairies, dry meadows, and mountain slopes from the high desert to subalpine elevations.
Native states: AZ, CO, ID, MT, ND, OR, SD, UT, WA, WY
Best suited for: Full sun, well-drained to dry soil, low to moderate moisture. Exceptionally drought-tolerant once established; does poorly in wet or heavy clay soils.
RAKE
Clear away weeds and debris, then loosen the top inch of soil. Good prep helps the seeds make proper contact with the soil.
SHAKE
Shake pellets evenly across your area. Each pellet contains one seed, so spacing stays consistent and planting stays controlled. (~50 seeds per sq. ft.)
PAT
Rake or pat seeds snug into the soil. This keeps them in place and ensures strong seed-to-soil contact.
WATER
Water once or twice daily. The soil should look dark, like a damp sponge for the first 2-3 weeks to to kickstart germination.
