Silvery Lupine (Lupinus argenteus)

$16.00

The Most Avanced Lupine Seed on the Market.

Scarified to break through it's tough seed shell

Treated with beneficial bacteria to help the plant thrive

GermiSync™ coated to trigger germination upon watering

Comes back stronger and fuller each year

A beautiful lupine with silvery foliage and tall spikes of violet-blue flowers. Without treatment, Silvery Lupine seeds can sit in your soil for an entire year before they even think about germinating. We scarify each seed to break through the tough outer shell, treat it with rhizobium, a beneficial bacteria that helps the plant pull nitrogen from the air and feed itself, and finish it with our GermiSync™ coating. The result? Germination within weeks.

Covers 75 sq. ft

Silvery Lupine (Lupinus argenteus) is native across the Rocky Mountains and Intermountain West, covering sagebrush flats, mountain meadows, and open slopes from the Pacific Northwest to the southern Rockies and out onto the northern Great Plains.

Native states: AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, ND, NE, NM, NV, OK, OR, SD, UT, WA, WY

Best suited for: Full sun to part shade, well-drained to dry soil, low to moderate moisture. Nitrogen-fixing — improves soil over time. Drought tolerant once established; best at elevations 3,000–10,000

RAKE
Clear away weeds and debris, then rake the soil until it’s loose and fluffy. Good prep helps the seeds make proper contact with the soil.

SHAKE
Shake pellets directly from the seed shaker. Because each pellet contains a single seed, spacing stays even and planting is controlled.

PRESS
Walk over the area or press the pellets into the soil with your hands or feet. This helps keep them in place and improves seed-to-soil contact.

WATER
Keep the soil consistently moist for the first 14 days to kickstart germination.
